What does Beach Pulse do?
We continuously estimate E. coli levels in bathing water and deliver decision support through analytics and an API. The municipality gets information between scheduled laboratory samples.
Do you replace laboratory tests?
No. Laboratory analysis is accurate and still needed. Beach Pulse makes testing targeted: you test when the data indicates verification is needed, not only when the calendar says so.
What range do you estimate?
The target range is about 5-5,000 CFU/100 ml, the span relevant to bathing water management.
How is the estimate produced?
Calibrated water measurements are combined with environmental and weather data in a proprietary Beach Pulse algorithm. The result is an estimated E. coli level, not a laboratory analysis.
Is the technology only tested in a laboratory?
No. It has been deployed and validated in live bathing waters under real operating conditions.
Who is the service for?
Primarily environmental managers and municipal officers responsible for bathing water quality. Research and technology partners are also welcome to get in touch.
How are insights delivered?
As ongoing decision support: analytics in the operator app and API-delivered values that can connect to the municipality's own systems.
